Florida Fertility Institute Patient Instructions: Endometrin

Endometrin is a vaginal insert that contains 100 mg of the hormone progesterone. You will begin endometrin the day AFTER retrieval.

  • 1 Endometrin vaginal insert in the a.m.
  • 1 Endometrin vaginal insert in the p.m.

DO NOT insert Endometrin before your transfer. You should wait and insert your a.m. vaginal insert (after your transfer) at home.

Continue the Endometrin vaginal inserts until your pregnancy test:

  • Positive pregnancy = continue Endometrin for 7 more weeks.
  • Negative pregnancy = stop Endometrin and schedule consult.
