Focus On Success - Kristin and Doug Bishop

Married for two years and trying to get pregnant for at least a year, Kristin and Doug Bishop were getting concerned. Was something wrong? they were ready to start a family but every month presented another disappointment. Kristin went to her OBGYN who suggested she consult with the Florida Fertility Institute for further evaluation.

Kristin and Doug met with Dr.Sanchez from the Florida Fertility Institute and Kristin was given two injectable cycles of Follistim. It became apparent that IVF was the route most likely to give them the best chance at pregnancy. "I wouldn't change a thing", says Kristen Bishop. Referring to her experience at the Florida Fertility Institute. "Procedures showed that I had ovarian dysfunction, but after a one-on-one 2-hour private consult with a medical professional specializing in IVF at the Institute I knew that I was in the right place and felt more relaxed".  Doug and Kristin proceeded with IVF.

After her first IVF procedure, Kristin and Doug received the good news that they were pregnant on August 7th. And by August 26th after the 1st OB Ultrasound confirmation of twins, and the family they had always wanted!

"When we first started there we weren't sure what to expect; but it turned out great." The staff and physicians at The Florida Fertility Institute all strive to provide a comfortable and professional environment for their patients at all times. "I'll tell you what", says Doug Bishop. "This has been an amazing educational experience, they really are the fertility experts". Kristin returned to her OBGYN for follow up care and delivered healthy twins on March 26th.

When asked, would you do it again? Kristin says, "definitely; but with a boy and a girl we don't have to".
